I found out how to show html code and whatnot in blogger posts because for some reason it's more tricky to show it here than in a normal webpage. Thanks to blogkori.com

I found this in my current template, it was hiding the blogger navigation bar. I didn't want it doing that but I thought I would put this handy little code here.
/* Blogger Navigation Bar */
#Navbar1 {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
visibility: hidden;
display: none;
}
I really want a digital camera. Really REALLY bad.
This is my top contender: Nikon Coolpix L20 Digital Optical
This is an addicting song. Too bad I can't understand it.
I have found a new good place for geekdom information :) Check out Red Blog This is one of those posts that I will end up posting on both of my blogs... (October 7th)
Reynolds Goes Green, But Will There Be a New Big Blue?
Late this week Interweb chatter in the geekverse spiked twice. First over the release of the San Diego Comic Con schedule for later this month. It revealed that, due to conference-hall scheduling, James Cameron-worshiping fanboys drooling for a peek at some Avatar footage might have to push and shove in line with rabid Twihards squealing for a New Moon presentation and a possible Bobby Pattinson appearance. Oh, the indignation! Oh, the humanity! Oh, the deadly spread of cooties!Read more...
The second web-shaking news was of more interest to the general movie-going public. There had been a month of speculation that Hangover-hot Bradley Cooper was a likely shoo-in to play Hal Jordan in the film adaptation of DC Comic’s Green Lantern. (To be directed by Martin Campbell of the Zorro films, Goldeneye, and Casino Royale.) But then came news this past week that in fact three actors were in contention to wear the Lantern’s Power Ring (not to be confused with Sauron’s Ring of Power—totally different geek rings): Cooper, Ryan Reynolds, and Justin Timberlake.
And on Friday Warner Brothers announced that instead of the presumed Cooper it would be Reynolds playing the hot-shot test pilot-turned-intergalactic cop in the live-action superhero flick. This comes after the word in May that Marvel Films would develop a Deadpool spin-off film from X-Men Origins: Wolverine, with Reynolds reprising his role as the wisecracking, fourth-wall-breaking “merc with a mouth.” Having played Marvel vampire hunter Hannibal King in Blade: Trinity, and once on tap to play DC’s Flash (that project is currently stalled out), Reynolds could now become the first actor ever to play heroes for both Marvel and their long-time rival DC. (UPDATED CORRECTION: As reader Jeremy F. points out, this is not true! Halle Berry played Storm for Marvel in the X-Men films and starred as Catwoman in the kinda horrific DC adaptation.)
So, fresh off the success of The Proposal, Reynolds is now being expected to carry two budding superhero...continue
So I freaked out about nursing school, again. My first freakout being a few posts ago. So naturally I searched the web for comfort; and found it! (here)
Admission Success Step One. First, if you haven’t already done so, make a thorough examination of yourself as to whether you really do want to get into nursing school and become a nurse. Do you know what becoming a nurse entails? Spend a few days, or longer, doing this self examination. Just make sure that becoming a nurse is really what you want to do. The following may sound cliché to you, but it is very true: so many people just rush into nursing school just because everyone else is and because they do not know of what else is out there. So do take a little time out of your busy schedule to reflect if this is what you would like to do for the rest of your life. There is nothing wrong about being a nurse. You may really like it. Just make sure that your temperament and personality fit this type of job and that you know what a typical day of being a nurse is like.More article, more article, more article...
In conclusion: If nursing school and becoming a nurse are really what you want, go for it! Don’t be afraid of the competition because often, people say they want to go into nursing school and succeed in it, but do not really expend the time necessary to get in or excel once they get in. On the other hand, you will be prepared because you have made up your mind to do the best you can. Do not be deterred of all the other keen students applying because there will always be spot for the determined.My fear is gpa. I learned to get over it in high school. I didn't have to get a 4.0 to succeed, above a 3.5 was good enough. But with 4.0 nursing applicants being turned away I am feeling the worst pressure ever. *big breathe* *pause* It's what I want to do so there will be a spot for me. I am determined. Read more...
